Hygiene poverty is on the rise in Colorado—especially for women. Justice Necessary’s 2022 and 2024 studies on period poverty, diaper need, and hygiene poverty document a growing number of women in our communities struggling to access essential items, including a 13% increase in period poverty, a 19% rise in diaper need, and a 10% increase in overall hygiene poverty.
To help bring relief to those most impacted, Justice Necessary is proud to partner with the Northern Colorado chapter of the National Organization for Women (NoCo NOW) for a packing party that will assemble hygiene kits for our most vulnerable neighbors.
