What is The Other 51?
The Other 51 was inspired by Diane’s love of camp and her understanding that while camp lasts one week a year, the need for hygiene products lasts all year long.
In partnership with Roundup River Ranch, Justice Necessary supports campers and their families with essential hygiene products for the remaining 51 weeks of the year.
Why Justice Necessary Exists
Access to hygiene is one of the most cost-effective ways to prevent illness and maintain health.
As a Cystic Fibrosis patient, Diane Cushman Neal knows the challenges of managing serious medical conditions without adequate resources. Studies show that individuals with CF experiencing food insecurity report higher rates of medication underuse, delayed healthcare, and reduced food intake. Food and hygiene poverty are deeply connected and Justice Necessary is dedicated to addressing this intersection.
When “Just Is, Is Not Enough,” Justice Necessary steps in to ensure no one is left without access to dignity and health.
